Another Great "Theme" Day

We could only squeeze in 2 STEM activities today due to the craziness of everything else (4th field trip, 5th grade movie, etc). But the two we fit in for now were a HUGE hit. Check it out.

Our first activity was called, "Bungee Barbie." Students had to predict how many rubber bands to attach to barbie so she would come as close to the ground when dropped without hitting it. Let's just say all of our Barbies died the first round :)

Students had a 2nd chance. They revamped their bungee cord based on their findings from the drops.
It was too close to call in the finals. So we declared 2 Barbies our winner!!!!

Our 2nd challenge was to build the tallest pyramid using spaghetti noodles and marshmallows!  This too was engaging and fun. (Note most of our 5th graders are with the rest of the 5th grade for a movie)

While the 4th grade headed to the High School, we ran a "product game" tournament.

Tyler and Izzy were in our championship game that was held for all to see on the Smartboard!
