What a week!

Janie is our rockstar this week. She is showing off her awesome craft she made over the summer.

Hats off to our 45ers at their concert. It's always a magical night and for some of you bittersweet as it is your last one.  

We all picked a favorite life quote (or precept as the book Wonder calls it). Then students created their own wonder to mimic the book's cover.  Here are a few examples of how it turned out.

We were very blessed to have Sarah, a former Rosenow student with Treacher Collins, come speak to us. Her and her mom were in awe of how well the students responded.  A truly touching story.

It was a great night at the movies on a snowy night.  We had 165 people join us and every one of them loved it. If you weren't able to make it and have not seen it yet, I encourage you to. It's a movie all kids should see. 

We have been spending the last week learning about the 5 different text structures authors use to write nonfiction. Today, we tried to write our own text structures based on a picture we picked.  A tough activity brought out some creative minds.

Welcome Walter to 10 books. Walter has been busy finishing the Hunger Games series he started last year!  

Teigue has been busy too and loved the Amulet series best of all!

Fun Friday

PBIS CELEBRATION! Students had a blast at our celebration on Friday. They could move about from bingo, gaga ball, dancing, coloring or a movie.  Check out the pics! Dancing ones are a bit black:)

We repeated the same team building as last week. Students tried to spot the differences between their picture and their partner's.  The few tweaks we did made a big difference! Fun times.

Way to Emma! Moving along to 20 books. She worked super hard this week to fill in categories she was still missing and read 120 minutes in just one night to do it!

To wrap up our book clubs with Mrs. Gruett's class, the students made short commercials showcasing the main idea of their book. It may be hard to tell, but there were some amazing acting skills happening that day!

We are proud to announce that the 4th grade Rosenow Scholar of the Month went to our very own Teigue.  Teigue shows hardwork, grit and respect daily to all around him. We're very proud he's one of the 45ers.
