Teambuilding Tower!

Thank goodness for great subs (I was gone Friday at a conference). I hate to miss my favorite part of the week- teambuilding- and asked her to send me a few pictures. The kids had the task of building the tallest tower that could hold Ellie the Elephant. They were given 100 notecards and 1ft of tape only.

To get ready for our play on Friday, we watched Shrek. Love that movie!

4th grade is learning fractions so both grades did an activity with M&Ms to get their practice in. Unfortunately, I spaced to take pictures during the 4th math block, but I promise they were full of smiles.

Happy National Read Aloud Day!
We spent time reading aloud to our little buddies in honor of this day!

Our teambuilding time was trying to solve Hink Pinks in our small group. For example a "lengthy tune" is a "long song." The answers need to rhyme with the same number of syllables.

Kyra was our rockstar last week!

Big Blast Friday

Emma hits 30 books!!!! Yahoooooooo!

Kendall is our rockstar this week. Check out her awesome wall of fame with her poster, pictures and parent letter.

#kindnessweek   Students have been spreading kindness throughout the building this week. Many are making cards and crafts for staff and friends. Others are making heart baskets to brighten peoples' day when they need it. While others are simply holding the door!  It's great to see them going out of their way to think of ways to make others smile.

The exciting day of the Big Blast was here!  I hope you remember what you dressed your child in or at least what they look like "blurry" because a lot of these are action shots!!!
