5th graders enjoyed being parents last month! Most took really good care of their babies! Only a few may still have some work to do :)

Mason hit 10 books!!  Keep up the hard work!

Emma hit 10 books. She is testing out the Hunger Games series so stay tuned for 20.

Congrats to Porter who hit 10 books. His favorite this year has been Amulet #8!

Congrats to Violet! She hit 20 books. I love keeping up with her reading because she's always reading something new I haven't heard of that sounds amazing!

Porter awarded Zac his quote!  I loved one of Porter's examples. How Zac stays true to himself by liking what he likes (the Vikings) and doesn't change just because most people around him are Packer fans :)

Charles was our rockstar last week! He shared some very interesting things from his trip out west when he dug up fossils. Thank you, Charles.

Our team building game was playing the $25,000 pyramid game with Christmas words. Kids were very excited to become rich!

The 10 books list is heating up!  Many students joined the wall today and there will be even more tomorrow ( I can hardly keep up- there will soon be a shortage of Whoppers in FDL:).

Way to go Mady W.!!!

 Way to go, Mallory!

Yahoo for Charles!!

Evy hits 10!

Eleanor is 10 books smarter!

Leah loved Old Yeller the best!

Thank you for decorating our turkey- moms, dads and even a few siblings!!  It's a great reminder to the kids of how special they are.  (this was earlier in the week, it's even more complete now)

Speaking of turkeys.... turkey babies were born today! Each 5th grade student is now in charge of their very own baby. They must care for it like their own until Thanksgiving where they must decide its fate!  Every day until Thanksgiving, students must write a journal entry of one small moment or 2 that happened to the turkey that day- from the turkey's perspective!!   Final journals will be due the Monday after Thanksgiving!

Zac is our rockstar this week and has been sharing some great details about his awesome life!

4K buddy time!!!
How fun does this look!  We got to just be kids with our little friends and simply play!

Kendall finished up her rockstar week explaining her poster and pictures!

Our team building activity this week focused on multiplication facts. Students had to "hit" the correct product with our sticky ball.

Violet received student of the month in the area of Academic Greatness. Way to go, Violet.

Mrs. Homman did a Halloween obstacle course this week in gym. How fun do some of these creepy stations look!

Adam awarded his quote of the week, based around kindness, to Teigue.

I was able to see Kade doing what she loves- hockey! She has the very important job of goalie.
