Final Post of 2016- Out with a Bang!

We celebrated Ayden James this week as our final rockstar of 2016!!

Kaiya joined the club with 10 books this week!!!  Way to go Kaiya :).

We started off our holiday celebration today with some time with our buddies. We even had a special visitor from Santa!

This is Molly's little brother. His reaction to Santa was a touching, priceless moment. He went running, leapt into Santa's arms and stared in awe!

It was SO neat to see the kids as secret santas this week.  They all had so much fun sneaking around and whispering with their friends who they thought another had. The compliment cards were touching, the gifts were personal and the smiles were constant.  It was a great week.  Thank you to all the parents for your part in making it a special week too.

We are using Christmas books to work on theme. Our biggest target is supporting the theme with strong evidence from the book!

We wrote a joint thanksgiving story with our penpals at Lakeshore. Students faces lit up when their pal was logged on to the same document with them. They took turns adding on to the story!

I'm so sad this is the only turkey pic I got. We had so much fun with our new friends!
