We kicked off our "Genre Week" by jigsawing the different genres that will show up in our 40 book challenge this school year. Students partnered up and researched their genre to create a poster for the class. Tomorrow, we have time to share our posters and teach each other.

We also built our stamina by reading nonstop for 9 minutes. We are working our up to 30 slow and steady.

In math today, 5th graders did a VERY challenging toothpick challenge to get their brains started!
